The installation and commissioning of any equipment in an aquatic system is a major factor regarding a successful and on-time project, or a late project filled with issues. Thus, Aquify is making a significant investment in the creation of this department to oversee the installation, training, and education of our products. As the leader of the project support team, you will be the main point of contact to builder PMs and installers as well as represent the Aquify brand and its products as they arrive and live in their future home on the job site. You will work closely and directly with both the engineering/operations and sales team in ensuring that Aquify products can be installed on site quickly, efficiently, and trouble-free.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team on reviewing plans and specifications to make sure all products are suitable for the project. 
  • Oversee and lead product installation and commissioning team. This includes future Aquify hired technicians as well as Aquify certified builders (see major projects).
  • Work with operations/supply-chain to coordinate delivery, storage, installation, logistics of Aquify products with builders as they ship to the job site.
  • Work with the engineering department to instantiate Eco’s and possible product revisions/changes/ideas with insight from field installations. Analyze product/project weak points and failures related to installation and commissioning of products and provide insight to possible changes to avoid them.
  • Troubleshoot problems, issues, failures of Aquify products on the job site. Communicate with the engineering department to address changes when necessary.
  • Oversee service tickets
  • Oversee the creation of product installation support documentation.
  • Arrive on site to commission projects and provide training when required.
  • Major Projects Within 2 Years of Employment:
  • Developing the Aquify builder training certification program. This program allows builders to become factory trained on Aquify and Herborner products and allows them to perform installations without needing Aquify factory technician commissioning. You will be supported by the engineering department as you see fit for this task.
  • Develop project support materials. Examples include video installation series, training documentation, installation documentation, procedures for initial product start-up, etc. You will be supported by the marketing/design department as you see fit for this task.

Location

Aquify, USA Headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Travel to job sites and possible international projects when required.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Project management skills; especially coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong background in either Aquatic water filtration and treatment or industrial water filtration and treatment, specifically installation and commissioning of products.
  • Ability to coordinate with and lead teams of people remotely (our construction partners).
  • Technical communication skills. This is crucial to developing installation and support material.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard construction blueprints and engineering manufacturing drawings (ASME Y14.5M)

Future Growth

Aquify recognizes that product installation and support represent a major portion of our business’ success. We expect to make a significant investment in this department within the next 2-5 years. This includes the creation of the Aquify service team as well as to grow and push our factory training program when possible. You will be directly involved in creating the strategic plan and leading in the growth of this department. It may be possible to grow this position to work with the operations or product design department in greater capacity if you determine that it is beneficial to the future success of our products as they are installed.

Experience & Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (mechanical and electrical preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in the recreational aquatics industry 
  • Previous experience in pool construction an asset 
  • Commercial swimming pool mechanical equipment commissioning experience
